About the Role

Join KlusAI's managed services team as a Systems Administrator Support role working remotely with four German companies in German language. You'll take ownership of backend infrastructure tasks, maintaining and optimizing Microsoft-based environments from anywhere.

This role combines hands-on system administration with Microsoft 365 expertise and automation opportunities. You'll work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with two German delivery teams (consisting of 5 colleagues) through defined escalation paths. We value proactive problem-solving, clear communication across time zones, and the ability to manage multiple client environments efficiently.

As part of our nearshore team, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining overlap with CET business hours for client coordination and team collaboration.
The tickets will be received mainly on Ticketing system, followed by Email and by Phone. Complexity varies from Level 1 to Level 2 and potentially Level 3.

What You'll Do

  • Manage patch management and system updates for servers and clients remotely via Tactical RMM
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments including tenant configuration, license management, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams
  • Maintain Active Directory infrastructure: user account lifecycle, group policies, and permissions management
  • Monitor and manage backup systems, including regular restoration testing to ensure data recoverability
  • Triage and pre-qualify incoming support tickets: categorize, prioritize, and route to appropriate teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client and server issues remotely, escalating when physical access is required
  • Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell or Bash to improve operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years of hands-on systems administration experience in enterprise or managed services environments
  • Strong proficiency with Windows Server and Active Directory administration
  • Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams
  • Solid understanding of backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures
  • Experience with remote management tools (Tactical RMM or similar RMM platforms)
  • Fluent German communication skills (C1 or C2) for client interaction and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple client environments
  • Minimal virtualization skills required (VMware)

Nice to Have

  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation and task optimization
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration and Bash scripting
  • VMware / Virtualization in-depth skills
  • Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MS-102, or similar)
  • German language skills for enhanced client communication
